Meetning with World Champion in Nordic Walking

It was very interesting meeting. Students from 3,4 and 5 class were on meeting with M. Pogorzelska - World Champion in Nordic Walking. She told us how to walk with sticks, it looks a warm-up, showed a film about basic steps, medals and cups. Children asked about sports in this area and the greatest success. We know that centre of the discipline in Poland is in Barlinek and in our country are organized World Champions. The visitors intends to go to the championship in Austria. We learned that Nordic Walking is not yet a sport. Finally, students asked for autographs.

Meeting with runner, marathon and climber

Today in our school was Dariusz Skolimowski. He is the best man, who was on Mount Blanc, he was runner many gears in Poland and Europe. He showed pictures of their trips. Students hear how to prepare to go out into the mountains and what to do to be healthy.

Popular school sports in our Primary School in Pszczolki (Poland)

Students very like sport. Now they have 4 hour of  Physical Education a week. Somatimes people go to sporting events to other schools.

5 th June in our school will be "Sport's day" for students which worked in education project "Olympics 2012" with partner school from United Kingdom and Italy. We will watch this video, sing sport songs and students will have the knowledge quiz about sports. All children will be in costume sport fans. Girls and boys will dance as a cheerleader.

Our favorite sports

Students of English teachers Marta and Eliza prepared a short speech about their favorite sports. ITC teacher recorded on camera what the students said. Chldren from partner schools will watch video and next they will write answers on our quastions.

Animals olympics 2012

Students from 5d and 5c class drew Animals olympics. Children from Ilaty sent us interesting work. Animals played in games. Polish students have drawn more sports with animals.

The best runners from Poland "POLAND RUNS"

Today ( 19th May) we were Local Championship Runnig "Poland runs". About 70 runners were at the meeting  On our stadium gone representative from local community and children, parents and teachers from Primary School,  High School in Pszczółki. Students were rnnning around 400, 600, 800 and 1000 meters. Older runners ran  for a distance 400 m. Each runner got diploma, Tshirt and books about sport. These were fun and interseting moments for all.
Our questions:
Is the partner schools also participate in such commpetitions? Do students with Harsham (UK) and Roletto (Italy) also run outside school?

Olympics in Turin and London

Students from partners school work together to make of presentations about Winnter Olympics inTurin (2006) and Summer Olympics in London (2012). Partners looked for logos, emblems, informations on disciplines, and great photos.

History Olympics

This presentation did students from UK, Italy and Poland. Children were looking for informations from the history of the ancient Olympics, sports and dates.

Polish sportman - sailors, swimmer and athlete

Oliver  (5b class) worked on the  presentation about very popular sportman, who are sailors in the Star and Finn class. They will start at the Olympics in London.

Stas (5b class) is the author presentation about popular swimmer - Pawel Korzeniewski. This sportmen have many medals from Olympics od World and Europe championship.

Szymon (5b class) recognized successes of Polish athlete - Tomasz Majewski. He will representad Poland at the Olympics in London.

 

  

Sport in Kenya

Today (15th May) in our school arrived missionary who is worked in Kenya. At the meeting were students from 3c, 4a, 5b and the school chorus. Children listened to his and ask her many quastions about his live, job and families in Kenya.

1. What;s your favorite sport? Football
2. Who is your the best sportmen and team? Football Polish team, when these sportman won gold (1972) silver (1976) and brown (1974) medals on Olympic and World Football Championship 
3. What's disciplines played children in this country? They run around and play in football. they make ball of all.
4. Why Kenyan are the best runners in world? Beceuse there is a specific climate, hot and humid. Runners train  high above sea level. Their bodies are very durable.
5. What was in Olympic? No, I wasn't but I would like watch football.
6. What was in our new football pitch? Yes. With my friends from village I played in football. It's good football pitch.
7. What do you think: why people from Kenya grow and like the sport? Kenyans like the sport beceuse they are agile, like to play together and active leisure.   

Meeting with polish local sportman and special guest from Kenya

In Tuesday in our school will first meeting with missionary Tadeusz from Kenya. He will talk about life in Africa and about Africans or sport practice. Students from 5b class show him his work in eTwinning. We want to know why the famous runners are Kenyans? What he at the olympics?


In Wednesday I saw he played on our football pitch. Look in this blog in Thursday and you will see photos. Our partnes from UK and Italy will get new small tasks:)))
